When it comes to engineering drawings, there are several standard sheet sizes that are commonly used. The choice of sheet size depends on the specific requirements of the drawings. You can select a drawing sheet size according to the details you need to present.

Common Drawing Sheet Size

ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) are the common two standards for papers. Whatever the product design software you can select these standard sheet sizes.

ANSI Standard

The most common drawing sheet sizes in engineering are;

  • ANSI A (8.5″ x 11″)
  • ANSI B (11″ x 17″)
  • ANSI C (17″ x 22″)
  • ANSI D (22″ x 34″)
  • ANSI E (34″ x 44″)

ISO Standard
